What Is Chain Reaction?
Chain Reaction is a free-to-play competitive word puzzle game available on the web and Android. The core mechanic is simple: fill a chain of letter slots with words that connect through shared boundary letters, beating the clock as you go. The depth comes from competing — against the global leaderboard, against a live opponent, or against a roster of AI characters in the Gauntlet.
Whether you have two minutes for a quick Daily Challenge during your morning coffee, or an hour to grind through the Gauntlet's toughest bosses, Chain Reaction meets you where you are.

The Technology
Chain Reaction is built with React on the frontend and Laravel on the backend, with real-time multiplayer powered by WebSocket connections. The dictionary engine validates words locally for instant feedback, while the server handles scores, leaderboards, and matchmaking.
The Android version uses Capacitor to wrap the same web app in a native container, providing haptic feedback, push notifications, and Google AdMob integration.

Chain Reaction is free to play, supported by advertisements. On the web, we use Google AdSense. On Android, we use Google AdMob (one interstitial ad shown approximately every three completed games).
